TLDR People with hidradenitis suppurativa who are more resilient tend to have better quality of life and less anxiety and depression.
The study investigated the link between resilience and quality of life (QOL) in 124 patients with hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), finding that higher resilience was associated with lower odds of anxiety and a similar trend with depression. With 38.3% of participants suffering from depression and 8.9% from anxiety, the research highlighted the significant mental health impact of HS. It concluded that focusing on resilience and coping strategies could enhance patient care and outcomes for those with HS.
