TLDR The thyroid nodule was benign, and surgery was successful with a smooth recovery.
A 41-year-old female presented with a solitary thyroid nodule in the right lobe amidst a multinodular goiter, experiencing symptoms like neck swelling, weight gain, hair loss, and palpitations. Blood tests were mostly normal, but thyroid function tests showed low TSH and slightly high Free T4. An ultrasound indicated a mildly suspicious nodule, but FNAC confirmed it as a benign colloid goiter. She underwent a right hemithyroidectomy, tolerated the procedure well, and had an uneventful recovery. Postoperative care included antibiotics, pain management, and nutritional support. She was discharged stable, emphasizing the need for thorough evaluation and treatment of thyroid nodules.
