TLDR Thorough evaluation and treatment are crucial for thyroid nodules.
This case study discusses a 41-year-old female with a solitary thyroid nodule in the right lobe, presenting alongside a multinodular goiter. She experienced symptoms such as neck swelling, weight gain, hair loss, and palpitations. Blood tests were mostly normal, but thyroid function tests showed low TSH and slightly high Free T4. An ultrasound indicated a mildly suspicious nodule, but FNAC confirmed it as a benign colloid goiter. The patient underwent a right hemithyroidectomy, which she tolerated well, and her recovery was uneventful. She was treated with antibiotics, pain relief, and nutritional support, and was discharged in stable condition. This case underscores the importance of thorough evaluation and treatment planning for thyroid nodules.
