TLDR The document reports a unique case of woolly hair with a combination of conditions not previously seen together.
The document described a rare case of woolly hair in a 4-year-old boy, which was associated with keratosis pilaris, canaliform dystrophy of nails, increased interdental spaces, and recurrent bullous impetigo. Woolly hair is a congenital abnormality characterized by short, kinked hair, and can be part of syndromes like Naxos or Carvajal. The boy, a product of a consanguineous marriage, exhibited light-colored curly hair, sparse body hair, and multiple skin lesions since birth. His condition included dental caries and recurrent pus-filled lesions. Investigations showed normal hematological and biochemical parameters, and a skin biopsy confirmed keratosis pilaris. This combination of findings had not been previously reported in the literature.
