TLDR Radiotherapy affects mitochondrial-related genes in metastatic breast cancer cells.
The study investigates the effects of radiotherapy on mitochondrial function and related signaling pathways in metastatic breast cancer cells, focusing on cell survival, apoptosis, and metastatic progression. Using MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 cell lines, expression data from the GEO database (GSE210306) was analyzed to identify differentially expressed genes (DEGs). GO and KEGG enrichment analyses were conducted, and a protein-protein interaction (PPI) network was created using Cytoscape software. The study identified significant mitochondrial-related genes affected by radiotherapy, providing insights into the molecular mechanisms involved in breast cancer treatment.
