TLDR Hirsutism significantly lowers the quality of life for Turkish women.
The study aimed to evaluate the quality of life among Turkish women with hirsutism using the Dermatology Life Quality Index (DLQI). It included 40 patients diagnosed with hirsutism, with a mean age of 21.4 years, and compared their DLQI scores to a control group of 18 women without hirsutism. The findings suggest that hirsutism significantly impairs the quality of life, highlighting the importance of considering cultural and societal norms when assessing the impact of hirsutism on individuals.
