TLDR Tinea capitis can affect mental health, but treatment improves both health and well-being.
A case study of a girl with tinea capitis demonstrated that while the condition is not life-threatening, it can significantly impact psychological well-being, as measured by the CDQLI and DMHC assessments. Treatment with oral and topical griseofulvin resulted in both clinical and psychological improvements.
