TLDR PRP injections improve skin and hair quality, boost self-esteem, and are safe and satisfying for patients.
The study on platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections in regenerative aesthetic medicine involved 15 participants and demonstrated high patient satisfaction and significant improvements in quality of life, particularly in physical health domains. PRP was notably effective in treating androgenic alopecia, with a 42.8% increase in hair density over six months. The study also found improvements in hair quality, facial texture, and overall quality of life, with a mean satisfaction score of 8.07 out of 10. Combining PRP with treatments like microneedling and laser therapies enhanced its efficacy. Overall, PRP is a promising, cost-effective, and safe option in regenerative medicine, with no adverse events reported.

Scalp biopsies are crucial for diagnosing hair loss conditions like Diffuse Unpatterned Alopecia (DUPA) and retrograde hair loss, as treatments like finasteride and dutasteride may not be effective if other conditions are present. Combining PPAR-GAMMA agonists with retinoids could improve treatments for conditions like Lichen Planopilaris.

The user had a rough week after being told they couldn't get a hair transplant due to insufficient donor area and worsening balding. They were advised to increase their oral Minoxidil dosage and consider switching from Finasteride to Dutasteride.
