TLDR PRP might help athletes' injuries, but more research is needed.
This review examines the potential of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) in treating musculoskeletal injuries in athletes, emphasizing its healing, immunomodulatory, and anti-inflammatory properties. Although PRP has shown promise in various medical fields, its application in sports-related injuries is not well-researched. The review covers PRP's characteristics, current and potential future applications, and limitations. It concludes that despite PRP's potential, there is a lack of sufficient research on its effectiveness in this context, highlighting the need for further studies.
