Prevalence of the 5 Most Common Skin Disorders at the Dermatology Cosmetic Clinic of RS USU from 2020 to 2022

    TLDR Acne vulgaris was the most common skin disorder overall.
    The study conducted at the Dermatology Cosmetic Clinic of RS USU from 2020 to 2022 aimed to identify the most common skin disorders and patient visit trends. It was a retrospective analysis using medical records. The number of patients increased from 342 in 2020 to 811 in 2021, then decreased to 640 in 2022. The most prevalent skin disorder in 2020 and 2022 was acne vulgaris, affecting 206 and 145 patients, respectively. In 2021, striae distensae was the most common, with 281 cases. Over the three years, the top five skin disorders were acne vulgaris (527 cases), striae distensae (453 cases), skin aging (211 cases), melasma (159 cases), and cellulite (120 cases). The highest patient visits were recorded in 2021.
