TLDR Premature gray hair may indicate reduced ovarian reserve but doesn't lower pregnancy chances.
This study investigated the relationship between premature hair graying (PHG), autoimmune diseases (AD), and ovarian reserve in women undergoing infertility treatment. Data from 657 women in two clinical trials were analyzed. The study found that women with PHG or AD were generally older and had fewer total and mature oocytes per cycle compared to those without these conditions. However, the presence of PHG or AD did not affect pregnancy or live birth rates. The findings suggested that while PHG might indicate reduced ovarian reserve, it did not predict a lower chance of pregnancy in women with normal ovarian reserve.
