TLDR Low vitamin D3 and ferritin levels may cause hair loss in pregnant women.
The study investigated the relationship between hair loss in the first and second trimesters of pregnancy and serum levels of vitamin D3 and ferritin among 50 pregnant women at Tikrit Hospital, compared to a control group of 30 pregnant women without hair loss. Results showed that women experiencing hair loss had significantly lower levels of vitamin D3 and ferritin compared to those who did not experience hair loss, suggesting a potential link between these deficiencies and hair loss during pregnancy.
