TLDR Post-finasteride syndrome is rarely linked to sexual and systemic side effects.
The review on post-finasteride syndrome (PFS) analyzed 64 worldwide articles, ultimately including 40 relevant studies. These studies primarily focused on male PFS (92.5%) with a total of 87,887 patients, of which 99.2% were men. The review found that PFS is rarely associated with sexual and systemic adverse effects. The majority of publications came from the USA, Italy, and Spain, with Dermatology being the most common specialty. This review is the first of its kind in Spain, highlighting the need for more research on PFS globally.
