Design, Development and Optimization of Polyherbal Powder Shampoo Using 32 Factorial Design

The study aimed to develop a polyherbal powder shampoo using natural ingredients, which are considered safer and more effective than synthetic alternatives. The shampoo, made from herbs like Acacia concinna, Sapindus Mukorossi, and Hibiscus rosa-sinensis, was tested across nine formulations (F1–F9) for various properties such as cleaning action, foaming capacity, and pH levels. All formulations passed the tests, but F6 was identified as the optimal formula due to its superior cleaning action and foaming index. The study concluded that the polyherbal powder shampoo was successfully prepared without additional excipients, with F6 being the best formulation.
