    TLDR Corticosteroid injections for hair loss can cause skin thinning.
    A 34-year-old woman with a history of alopecia areata experienced hair regrowth after receiving intradermal corticosteroid injections. However, 22 days after the first injection, she developed skin atrophy and an accentuated venous pattern at the injection site. This case highlighted the potential side effect of skin atrophy following corticosteroid injections for alopecia areata.
