TLDR Pediatric pemphigus is often diagnosed late, but rituximab helps control it long-term.
The study on pediatric pemphigus highlights a significant delay in diagnosis for affected children. Systemic corticosteroids (sCS) are effective in inducing remission initially, but long-term disease management necessitates the use of additional immunomodulators. Over time, the disease tends to follow a chronic but generally benign course. The study supports the use of rituximab as a beneficial treatment option for long-term disease control in pediatric patients.
