Oral PEY Treatment Induces Hair Regrowth and Improves Hair Quality in Patients with Alopecia

The study examined the impact of oral processed egg yolk (PEY) on hair regrowth and quality in 45 alopecia patients over 4 months. PEY, containing growth factors like CTGF, PDGF, and IGF-1, was given alone to 21 patients and with conventional treatments to 24 patients. Significant improvements were observed in hair regrowth, cessation of hair loss, and hair and skin quality, with women showing higher effectiveness (86.41%) compared to men (80%) when PEY was used alone. Combined treatments resulted in 70.58% improvement, with women again showing higher effectiveness (76.92%) than men (50%). No side effects were reported, suggesting PEY as a promising natural treatment for alopecia.
