    The study investigates the potential of a traditional ethnomedicinal formulation from East Nusa Tenggara (RENTT) as a natural cosmeceutical agent for hair growth, particularly for addressing Chemotherapy-Induced Alopecia (CIA). Using the Orthogonal Stimulus Response Method (OSRM) and Taguchi L27 design, the researchers optimized a combination of local plant extracts, including candlenut seed oil, hibiscus leaves, banyan aerial roots, shield aralia leaves, and sea hibiscus leaves. The formulation demonstrated significant antioxidant activity, with the optimal combination showing a notable increase in hair length in croton oil–induced mice (Mus musculus) compared to control groups. These findings support the traditional use of these plants in hair care and suggest RENTT's potential in developing natural hair growth products.
