TLDR Poor nutrition in young children causes skin and hair issues, highlighting the need for better nutrition education.
The study examined 150 children aged 1 to 5 years, revealing that nutritional deficiencies, particularly nutritional anemia, vitamin A, and vitamin B12 deficiencies, were prevalent due to dietary fallacies and lower socio-economic status. These deficiencies led to skin and hair changes, with sparse hair and pallor being common. The study emphasized the impact of delayed and faulty weaning practices, especially in children aged 12-24 months, and highlighted the need for better nutrition education and intersectoral coordination to address these issues.
