TLDR Using a specific laser and platelet-rich plasma together can effectively improve hair thickness and density in men with hair loss, without serious side effects.
In the 2018 pilot study "Combination of a non-ablative 1,927 nm thulium fiber fractional laser and autologous platelet-rich plasma in treatment of male androgenetic alopecia", researchers investigated the combined effect of a 1,927 nm thulium fiber fractional laser and autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP) on male androgenetic alopecia. The study involved 20 male participants suffering from androgenetic alopecia. The results showed that the combined treatment significantly improved hair density and thickness, with no serious side effects reported. The study concluded that the combination of a non-ablative 1,927 nm thulium fiber fractional laser and autologous PRP could be an effective treatment for male androgenetic alopecia.
