TLDR The nanosilica-curcumin-bromelain complex speeds up wound healing and hair growth in burns.
The study developed a nanosilica-curcumin-bromelain complex to enhance anti-inflammatory and wound healing properties for burn treatment. The complex, sized 10-100 nm, was tested on fibroblast cell lines from white mice and found optimal at a 7.5% concentration. In a mouse model with second-degree burns, the treatment led to faster wound healing and hair growth, with scars healing in 18 days compared to untreated wounds, which took 7 days longer.
