TLDR The nanosilica-curcumin-bromelain complex speeds up wound healing and hair growth in burns.
The study focused on creating a nanosilica-curcumin-bromelain complex and evaluating its effects on fibroblasts in animal models. The complex, with a size range of 10-100 nm, was tested on fibroblast cell lines from white mice, showing optimal activity at a 7.5% concentration. The application of this complex in treating second-degree burns in a mouse model resulted in faster wound healing and hair regrowth after 18 days, compared to untreated cases, which took 7 days longer. This suggests the potential of the complex in enhancing burn treatment and recovery.
