TLDR Multiple trichofolliculomas can look like multiple trichoepitheliomas on the face.
Trichofolliculomas, typically benign hair follicle hamartomas, were initially thought to be hair follicle tumors and usually appear as a single lesion with a tuft of vellus hairs. However, the occurrence of multiple trichofolliculomas is rare. These lesions are identified by a dermal keratin cyst with a cyst wall that shows radiating hair follicles. This case was notable for the unusual presentation of multiple trichofolliculomas on the face, which clinically resembled multiple trichoepitheliomas.
