    The systematic review focused on the use of Minoxidil for treating female pattern alopecia. Out of 309 studies found, only 2 met the research criteria. Minoxidil was used at a concentration of 0.5% for injectable scalp treatments and 5% for topical applications. Adverse effects included headaches for the injectable method and hypertrichosis and allergies for the topical method.
