TLDR Made 8 minoxidil samples; 1 cocrystal, 7 salts formed.
This document describes attempts to create cocrystals of minoxidil with carboxylic acids. The researchers successfully generated eight multi-component samples, which were analyzed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction revealing the formation of one cocrystal and seven salts. The study found that the carboxylate/N-hydroxide synthon or its neutral analog proved to be a robust supramolecular interaction, while the amino-pyridine and piperidine moieties failed to participate within this molecular arrangement. The study concludes that further understanding of competing intermolecular interactions is necessary to design and produce multimeric products with anticipated connectivities and stoichiometries.

The user is using a hair loss treatment with finasteride 0.1%, minoxidil 5%, and tretinoin 0.01%, applied once daily at 1ml. They are questioning if a 60ml bottle used twice daily implies a higher recommended dose despite the same 5% minoxidil concentration.
