Millets are highlighted as a promising dietary intervention for managing Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) due to their high fiber content and low glycemic index, which improve glycemic control, insulin sensitivity, and hormonal balance. They help regulate blood sugar, reduce insulin resistance, and support weight management, addressing key metabolic issues in PCOS. Millets also have anti-inflammatory properties and promote gut health, which may benefit PCOS management. Despite these benefits, challenges such as limited awareness, availability, and the need for more clinical trials exist. Increased public education and diverse millet-based food options are recommended to optimize their use in PCOS diets.
