TLDR Micrografts can grow natural hair and most patients are satisfied, but some need multiple procedures.
The study investigated the use of micrografts for treating male pattern hair loss in 18 patients with androgenetic alopecia between April 1999 and May 2000. Most patients underwent a single procedure, while two required multiple procedures. Follow-up for 12 patients ranged from 3 to 9 months postoperatively. Despite achieving low hair density, patients were satisfied with their appearance, and no complications were reported. The study concluded that micrografts allowed for the growth of natural hair, with most patients content with their results, although some required more than one procedure.
