TLDR Micrografts and minigrafts effectively treat male hair loss with natural-looking results.
The study investigated the use of micrografts and minigrafts with slits for treating male pattern hair loss in 27 patients with androgenetic alopecia. Conducted between July 2000 and May 2001, 24 patients underwent a single procedure, while 3 had two procedures. Follow-up for 20 patients ranged from 3 to 9 months postoperatively. Patients were generally satisfied with the natural appearance achieved, despite the low density, and no complications were reported. Some patients expressed a desire for additional procedures to improve density.
