TLDR Marine collagen helps wounds heal faster and better than regular dressings.
This review highlights the use of marine collagen in advanced wound dressing technologies, emphasizing its benefits in wound healing. Marine collagen is preferred due to its safety, non-toxic nature, biodegradability, abundance, and low cost. It plays a crucial role in accelerating the four stages of the healing process by promoting cell migration and skin regeneration, especially in chronic wounds. The review discusses the manufacturing of scaffolds from marine sources, which have shown a significant effect on wound healing compared to normal wound dressings. Various types of scaffolds, such as surgically applied scaffolds, sponges, and hydrogel scaffolds loaded with drugs, have been explored, with drug-loaded scaffolds demonstrating the highest wound-healing acceleration rate.

Redensyl, which is a topical alternative to Minoxidil for hair loss. It may have advantages such as not making the hair greasy and lasting longer after discontinuing use than minoxidil. There are some positive reports from users, but also some negative ones, so it's unclear how effective this treatment will be in comparison to Minoxidil and other treatments like Finasteride or RU58841.
