TLDR The combination of Stemoxydine® and Resveratrol improves hair density in women with Female Pattern Hair Loss.
The document reports on a study that evaluated the efficacy of a topical solution containing 5% Stemoxydine® and 0.25% Resveratrol in increasing hair density in women with Female Pattern Hair Loss (FPHL). Seventy-nine healthy women aged 25 to 55 years, with hair loss grade I to II on the Ludwig scale, a telogen hair count greater than 18%, and a total hair density around 200 hairs/cm², were recruited. After 6 weeks of daily application, there was a significant increase in total hair density with an increase of +4.6 hairs/cm² compared to the control. This result was further confirmed after 12 weeks of application with an increase of +6.9 hairs/cm² (p=0.008). The study concluded that the combination of Stemoxydine® and Resveratrol is a novel option to improve hair density in women with FPHL.
