TLDR Micro-needling with growth factors and minoxidil improved hair growth in a balding man.
The document described the treatment of a 44-year-old male with androgenetic alopecia using a combination of micro-needling, growth factors, and 5% topical minoxidil. After four sessions of micro-needling with a 540-needle Derma Roller System and subsequent application of growth factors and daily minoxidil use, the patient experienced reduced hair thinning, increased hair density, new hair growth, and improved tensile strength. The patient was pleased with the outcome. The study suggested that this combination therapy could be a viable additional treatment for androgenetic alopecia, but emphasized the need for further clinical trials to validate the findings.
