TLDR Low zinc levels are linked to low testosterone but not to sexual problems.
The study investigated the relationship between serum zinc concentration and various factors, including serum testosterone levels and sexual function, in 720 men with sexual problems. The results showed a statistically significant association between lower serum zinc levels and lower serum testosterone levels (ptrend = 0.028), even after adjusting for serum cortisol concentration (ptrend = 0.032). However, no significant association was found between serum zinc levels and sexual function scores after adjusting for testosterone and cortisol levels. The study concludes that while lower serum zinc is linked to lower testosterone, it does not correlate with sexual symptoms.
