TLDR Low-energy laser therapy can improve scalp alopecia treatment when combined with classical methods.
In a study from 1997, researchers evaluated the effectiveness of low-energy laser (LEL) therapy for treating scalp alopecia. They divided 60 patients into two groups: Group A, consisting of 33 patients, received both LEL and classical therapy, while Group B, with 27 patients, received only classical therapy. The study found that Group A experienced better results in a shorter time frame compared to Group B. However, to maintain these results, continued classical therapy was necessary. The conclusion was that LEL therapy could serve as a beneficial complementary method for treating scalp alopecia.
