TLDR The protocol allows easy imaging of dividing cells in C. elegans and can be used for other organisms.
The study presented a protocol for live-cell imaging and analysis of germline stem cell mitosis in Caenorhabditis elegans, highlighting the accessibility of C. elegans GSCs for in situ imaging. The protocol was optimized for imaging and analyzing mitotic GSCs and included tools for processing large datasets. It was adaptable for visualizing dividing cells or other subcellular processes in C. elegans across various developmental stages. Additionally, the image analysis pipeline could be applied to study mitosis in other cell types and model organisms.
