TLDR F4 and F6 hair gels showed promise for improving hair care but need more testing.
The study developed liquid crystal-based polyherbal hair gels using herbal oils and extracts to improve hair care. Among 10 formulations, F6 showed optimal nanometric characteristics and stability, while F4 and F9 excelled in anti-frizz and anti-static properties. The gels enhanced hair thickness and exhibited moderate antioxidant activity. F4 and F6 remained stable over 28 days, suggesting their potential as cosmeceutical hair care products. However, further in vivo and clinical studies are necessary to confirm their efficacy and safety.
