    This study used in silico analysis to explore the relationship between linc-PINT and the TGF-β signaling pathway in heart arrhythmia. By analyzing RNA-seq data from human atrial appendage tissues of patients with atrial fibrillation and healthy controls, researchers discovered that linc-PINT expression was significantly decreased in patients, while SMAD2, SMAD3, SMAD5, and TGF-βR1 gene expressions were significantly increased. SMAD6 expression showed no significant difference. These results indicate that monitoring TGF-β and linc-PINT expression could help identify patients at high risk of heart arrhythmia and enhance clinical outcomes through targeted therapies.
