TLDR Elderly patients with eruptive skin bumps may have clear cell syringoma linked to glucose issues.
This case report discusses a 64-year-old Thai woman diagnosed with late-onset eruptive clear cell syringoma, a rare benign tumor from eccrine sweat glands, characterized by multiple erythematous to brownish papules. The condition, which spread over five years, was confirmed through clinical and histopathological examination. The report highlights a potential link between clear cell syringoma and glucose metabolism abnormalities, as the patient exhibited impaired fasting plasma glucose. It underscores the importance of considering this diagnosis in elderly patients with eruptive papular dermatoses and the need for metabolic screening in such cases.
