TLDR Large prostates link to more hair loss.
Men with prostate volumes greater than 30 gm had a significantly higher prevalence of androgenic alopecia, according to a study. Prostate size did not correlate with severity of androgenic alopecia. The study was somewhat skewed because it investigated men who were older. In addition, the control group consisted of age matched men with a history of infection and/or urolithiasis. One could surmise that if this association is real, prevention of prostate enlargement and baldness may become a target for early intervention with 5a-reductase inhibitors.
