TLDR Ivermectin 1% cream effectively reduces visible and invisible symptoms of rosacea.
A pilot study involving 25 Caucasian patients with moderate to severe rosacea found that ivermectin 1% cream significantly reduced both visible and invisible symptoms of the condition. The patients applied 1 g of the cream once a day for at least 16 weeks. The visible symptoms, such as erythema, were measured using clinician erythema assessment (CEA) and patient self-assessment (PSA), while invisible symptoms like stinging, burning, and dryness were evaluated through a questionnaire. The results showed significant reductions in both CEA and PSA (p<0.0001), as well as in invisible symptoms (stinging/burning, dryness: p<0.0001; itching: p<0.001). The findings were confirmed using the Scarletred® Vision tool, which also showed improvements in erythema (p<0.0001) and skin roughness (p<0.001). The study concluded that ivermectin 1% cream is effective in treating rosacea-associated symptoms and that Scarletred® Vision is a useful tool for objectively analyzing treatment success.

A user is trying to reverse male pattern baldness (MPB) naturally by taking high doses of Vitamin D, improving diet, exercising, reducing stress, and other lifestyle changes, but plans to use finasteride if no results are seen in 60 days. Other users are skeptical, advising medical treatments like finasteride and warning against potential vitamin D overdose and the ineffectiveness of natural remedies for genetic hair loss.
