    In 2014, OMICS International was a publisher of open access scientific journals, which were peer-reviewed and indexed into various scientific indexing platforms. The organization aimed to promote scientific research by removing subscription barriers, thus providing equal access to everyone interested in studying and promoting scientific knowledge. OMICS International published high-impact research articles in various fields, including Genetics, Molecular Biology, Psychology, and Psychiatry. The open access movement, which OMICS International was part of, sought to remove legal and financial barriers to the dissemination of knowledge across various areas of scientific research. The advent of the internet enabled the storage and free access of information through online repositories. OMICS International also organized international scientific conferences, providing a platform for interaction among academic and professional individuals. The organization was founded with a mission to provide free access to scientific literature for quick dissemination of scientific updates and provide a source of reference and retrieval free of cost.
