TLDR Intermittent low-dose finasteride works as well as daily use for treating excessive hair growth in women.
The study aimed to compare the effectiveness of intermittent low-dose finasteride with daily administration for the treatment of hirsute women. The results showed that intermittent low-dose finasteride was as effective as daily administration in reducing hair growth in hirsute women. The study involved 30 women who were randomly assigned to either intermittent or daily finasteride treatment for six months. The researchers concluded that intermittent low-dose finasteride could be a viable option for the treatment of hirsutism in women.
