TLDR pdHGF speeds up wound healing and hair growth.
The study investigated the effects of patient-derived Hepatocyte Growth Factor (pdHGF) on wound healing and hair growth using mouse models. It was found that pdHGF significantly accelerated wound healing, particularly between days 13 and 16, and improved skin structure by reducing rigid collagen fibers, leading to more flexible skin. This suggests that pdHGF could help restore the physiological structure and function of the skin. Additionally, the study indicated that lower concentrations of HGF could effectively treat chronic wounds. The research also highlighted that recombinant HGF (rHGF) played a significant role in accelerating hair growth, suggesting potential new therapeutic approaches for hair disorders.
