The Impact of Sheep Testis Extract on Hair Follicle Growth and Skin Healing of Wistar Rats

The study evaluated the impact of sheep testis extract on hair follicle growth and skin healing in Wistar rats. Rats were divided into 7 groups, including control, sham, and various treatment groups with different concentrations of sheep testis extract, honey, and Minoxidil. The results showed significant improvements in wound healing, hair follicle formation, reepithelialization, angiogenesis, and the number of basal cells, fibroblasts, and follicles in the groups treated with 100% and 75% sheep testis extract compared to the control group. The findings suggested that sheep testis extract, rich in androgens and growth factors, could be a promising candidate for clinical wound healing studies.
