TLDR Excessive facial hair growth can indicate an underlying cancer.
A 69-year-old woman presented with excessive facial hair growth over six months, which was identified as hypertrichosis lanuginosa acquisita. She had a medical history of psoriasis, rosacea, onychomycosis, and basal cell carcinoma. Despite no recent medication changes or systemic symptoms, the excessive hair growth was considered a potential sign of underlying malignancy.
