TLDR Herbal therapies may help with hair loss but need more scientific validation.
Alopecia, or hair loss, is a common issue influenced by factors like hormonal imbalances and stress. Herbal therapies are gaining popularity as safer alternatives to conventional treatments, which often have limited effectiveness or adverse effects. This review discusses the potential of various medicinal herbs, such as Ginkgo biloba and Rosmarinus officinalis, in preventing hair loss and promoting hair growth. These herbs work by providing essential nutrients, enhancing scalp circulation, acting as antioxidants, and inhibiting DHT. The review emphasizes the need for further scientific validation to standardize formulations and confirm clinical efficacy, highlighting herbal therapy as a valuable complementary or alternative approach for managing alopecia.
