TLDR Herbal shampoos with goat milk and natural extracts could be good natural alternatives to commercial shampoos.
The study focused on creating and analyzing two types of herbal shampoos using goat milk and natural extracts. Shampoo 1 included celery leaf, banana knot, and pegagan leaf extracts, while Shampoo 2 contained noni, mangkokan leaf, and spinach extracts. Both shampoos were light brown, transparent, and had a pleasant odor. The physicochemical properties of Shampoo 1 were a pH of 5.25, solid content of 29.17%, surface tension of 51.17 dyne/cm, and foam ability of 9.50 mL. Shampoo 2 had a pH of 5.5, solid content of 29.67%, surface tension of 44.63 dyne/cm, and foam ability of 15.0 mL. The herbal shampoos demonstrated physicochemical properties comparable to commercial shampoos, suggesting their potential as natural alternatives.
