Extraction and Evaluation of Herbal Shampoo
TLDR The herbal shampoo made from local plants can reduce hair loss and promote hair growth.
The study developed a natural herbal shampoo using ingredients like fenugreek, curd, lemon, shikakai, flax seed, vetiver, and soapnut, aiming to replace harmful synthetic components. The shampoo exhibited good physical characteristics, a pH of 6.8, effective foaming, and stability properties. It also showed significant antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and antifungal activity against Candida albicans, attributed to the bioactive compounds in the plant extracts. The results suggested that local plant extracts could produce high-quality herbal shampoos that reduce hair loss and promote hair growth.
