Human Health Impacts of Drinking Water (Surface and Ground) Pollution in Dakahlyia Governorate, Egypt

    TLDR Removing trace elements from drinking water is essential for human safety.
    This study from Dakahlyia Governorate, Egypt, analyzed 30 drinking water samples and 30 urine samples from patients concerned about water quality. It found that drinking water contamination with trace elements like nickel, lead, cadmium, and iron was linked to health issues such as hair loss, renal failure, and liver cirrhosis. The contamination was attributed to industrial and agricultural activities. The study concluded that removing trace elements from drinking water is essential for human safety.
