TLDR Calcipotriol treatment for scalp psoriasis does not cause hair loss.
A study involving 26 patients with scalp psoriasis investigated the effects of calcipotriol on hair growth, specifically the telogen/anagen ratio. Over 6 weeks, hair plucks were analyzed before and after treatment. The results showed that calcipotriol did not affect the telogen/anagen ratio, indicating that its growth-inhibiting potential did not translate to hair loss in vivo. No correlation was found between treatment efficacy and changes in the hair growth cycle.
