TLDR Severe hair loss significantly worsens quality of life.
The study on "Hair loss severity and its impact on quality of life in patients suffering from androgenic alopecia" conducted over one year found that the severity of hair loss significantly affected the quality of life in patients. The cross-sectional study included a substantial number of participants, which strengthened the findings. Patients with more severe hair loss reported higher levels of psychological distress and social anxiety, indicating a direct correlation between the extent of hair loss and the negative impact on mental health and social interactions. These results underscored the importance of addressing both the physical and psychological aspects of androgenic alopecia in clinical practice.
