TLDR People with hair loss have more heavy metals in their hair.
The study investigated the levels of heavy metal contamination in hair samples from 12 individuals, both with and without hair loss, in Seoul and Gyoung-gi. It was found that individuals suffering from hair loss had higher levels of heavy metals such as lead, manganese, copper, arsenic, and zinc in their hair compared to those without hair loss. Specifically, women with hair loss showed higher contamination levels of these metals than women without hair loss, and similarly, men with hair loss had higher levels than men without hair loss. The study highlighted the need for attention to potential contamination by aluminum and mercury.
